Weekends

...are the best I have to say. It's a time for family. This weekend I am of hope that we are going to go hiking(fist of the yr...so sad...we were hike last February). I am going to head out and look for another hiking backpack for the boys(we have one my bother gave me). Last hike was when I was pregnant with Jonas(just as the sickness started so quite early) and we had to cut our last day in Yosemite National park a day early, because I couldn't stop puking. I am also on the hunt for a bike seats for the kids so we can go biking soon(Jonas has to be big enough and neck strong enough to support the weight of a helmet(think he is almost there)). So much I want to do and it's all about the outside.

Next weekend Tom booked a get away at Lake Tahoe. So so excited for that it would be a little nice if it was just the two of us but oh well us Flynn's travel as a family like, peas in a pod :). Anyhow hopefully all next weekend is full of hiking, swimming and even some bowling(there's a bowling ally near where we are staying).

that is it for now. weekends are the best.

Looking forward to the long weekend.

So I know I am weird and all. I have excepted that years ago...I am just glad I found someone crazy enough to marry me...he has to be, he did marry me.

So I love the quiteness and layed back of our life so much. But than after our crazy wonderful trip home I always get down...I miss our families and I miss them interacting with our children. I have to say that I always cry when leaving(none of you probably know that but it's true), leaving is hard. However I do always like coming back to our home and our routine of things here in California. It's the driving and trying to fit everyone in when we are home that stresses me out...(yes I am aware that I do it to myself). I also feel bad that we didn't see a single friend when were home. This really sucked b/c some of them have purchase a house and other have had babies which we haven't seen or meant(this makes me sad and makes me feel like a bad friend).

Some of my highlights of our trip home.
1. being with family
2. Watching all the cousins play
3. got a Townsend family photo and spend an evening together.
4. had both boys in the Atlantic Ocean
5. Having everyone meet Jonas
6. Jonas baptism
7.Got to workout with my Sister
8.Watch Uncle Dan and Andrew play the guitar for the boys

Miss you all very much.

Yesterday we were walking down our main street after dinner(took the boys out for pizza) and saw many restaurants that we've been wanting to try but sadly can't. I watched couple sipping wine, talking and there was a longing inside for that again. I miss going out to dinner/drinks/walks with Tom. Just having a quite meal and talking with out distraction or kids or work etc. But than there were small arms wrapped around my neck and a I love you mommy that melted that longing away for the time being because I know it will be back. I don't get upset about it though b/c I wouldn't give up my children for any of it and I rather have life this way than not having it or not having them at all.

Well today is sort of a lonely day and I am so looking forward to the weekend to have Tom home with me. We have no plans like normal, and I am not sure if we'll go out anywhere were I am still working on potty training. but we'll see. Noah did use the potty at the pizza place once, had an accident before we left but the fact is he did use it there. He was so proud and he told everyone. LOL

well I got to run time to tidy up some before Jonas wakes up.

few seconds maybe...

that I have to write on here. Things are still upside down here but oh well that is how life is, full of unexpected twist and turns and the occasional(or many depending who you are....I tend to have many haha) bumps in the journey of life. Some times I wish thing were simpler in life but than I think if everything was simple, would you one be great full? So I tried to ride out the bumps and make the best of them as much as I can.

As for our flight back to California it went as good as it could have since we woke up to Noah puking in his bed and Jonas having a fever. I am blessed that my children are good on flights though (no one has ever hated us on a plane!!!!). I only had one bad experience for a little bit(Noah cried for 35min than puked on me and than fell asleep) when I flew home alone last October but everyone was great around me and said they had kids and they didn't care, one girl I was sitting with was actually pregnant too, with her 4th so not to worry it doesn't bug her.

We are slowly getting back on track and Jonas is sleeping so much better now that his fever is gone and oh yes the last two days he broke out in a rash(different from the heat rash he had the whole time we were home) I think somewhere a long the way he picked up roseola. He also has 2 teeth too. Our vacation really set us back on the potty training but I am happy to report it looks like as of today we are back on track and further along, where Noah has more than 50% of the time taken himself to the potty and gone. I hope it continues to to get better and better. I have to say that Potty training is not my specialty. I have lots of patience with the kids and Noah is a quick kid to pick up things but potty training just wears me out and I have trouble juggling everything that needs to be done and watch him like a hawk. I would have loved to pay someone to do this step in life but I wanted to be a mom so with that come potty training responsibilities too. I am still exhausted from our trip and trying to catch up with everything here, so hopefully by next week things will be in order.

I was hoping to take Tom out for his birthday but since our flight mess that up and all my possible favors have been used since the birth of Jonas, and an extra one had to be taken do to our delayed return home(one of my friends was stopping by to feed bella). It looks like yet another yr will pass before I can do what I wanted to do 3 birthdays ago for him. Sort of bummed out, well actually really bummed out but oh well that is just another blip in our journey.

Got to run and join in our pot and pan band that is going on and than get some dinner ready.
