Santa's gifts are here...

OH the Excitment!!

Well we had a good holiday, busy, exhausting and wonderful.

Christmas Eve we got up went for Breakfast at Sara's Kitchen a hold in the wall restaurant(my favorite kind, small family own nothing fancy), than took the boys out to fly the kite which we have been meaning to since Noah got it at Easter(yup we are horrible parents), but we finally got out to fly it. The boys loved it I forgot my camera but we took a video on the phone so we'll have to try to get it up on here. Than we raked the leaves out front and let the boys jump in and I got pictures of that until I broke my camera, pretty sad about that since if it cost a lot to fix I going to be with out a camera for a long time which is pretty upsetting but since we just bought a new house and repairs and Monday the new furnace got put in there are no funds till we get the cards and everything paid down. Times like this I wish we had two incomes in the house, but as i always say things will work out somehow in the end, but right now it feel pretty much when Tom and I got out of university, thankfully our credit limit is higher right :S.

Well besides some cell pictures and i think we have some videos i have to check...but we had a great Christmas. the boys loved their gift, however i really think tom and i had to get them anything because well Santa's were the top gift of all. Noah got buzz light year and sleeps with it and it goes where ever he goes. Jonas loves he's dump trunk and he is always putting toys in it even when he is playing with other toys. We got a kindle for reading books and tom loves it which is great he can read the papers mags and buy books. Tom bought me a mother and child pendant, which he made the comment that it wasn't gum ball jewelery but a step up in the discount bend LOLOL...I don't care i love it. Lucas loves his new chair too, now he not falling to the floor when the few times the chair collapsed. We cooked a chicken for our dinner and it turn out okay. my oven still fluctuates so much that i am learning basically how to cook with it. so it was slightly over cooked but way better than the uncooked bird at thanksgiving, when we didn't know the oven wasn't working.

So I had the boys baby books out making sure they were all up to date, and since everyone is shocked how young Lucas is I wanted to compare the growth of all three boys. See we get more comments that Lucas appears actually older than he really is and than when they find out really that well tomorrow he is only 11wks old they are like he's a big boy but not really meaning rolly polley but as just older. He has a few rolls on his thighs but he doesn't have the doulble chin etc.

Anyhow there is what I found and it looks like all three boys are growing pretty similar it just they keep starting off bigger and bigger. haha

Noah
birth 7 lbs 12oz 20"
2months 11 lbs 5.5oz 24"
Increase of 3 lbs 9.5oz 4"

Jonas
birth 8 lbs 11oz 20''
2 months 12 lbs 8.5 23 3/4"
Increase of 3 lbs 13.5 oz 3 3/4"

Lucas
birth 10 lbs 2.1oz 22"
2 months 14 lbs 25"
Increase of 3 lbs 14oz 3"

So there for not a lot of difference with the grow rate, they are just getting bigger and bigger at birth. Which worries me a little about the next one. I forgot to look in the books to see when Noah and Jonas started rolling over, I remember Noah really not rolling much he was always happy on his tummy and than just crawled. But Lucas is rolling and I really really hope that he doesn't crawl before Jonas did (5months is too early) I don't think I heard of a baby crawling before than, maybe I should google it. I have to remind myself all the time that Lucas is really just a new born (Noah was 14 something lbs at 6 months), so you can see why I have to remind myself that Lucas is still a new born. I love how different all our boys are it really keeps thing interesting and yet they are so similar for many way.

Well Tom has been home with us since 24th and the building where is office is, is doing some work and they had to shut down their computers so he hasn't been able to work till the 27th so it has been wonderful even thought the house looks like a bomb went off in it.

Special Moments.

I love Christmas but I have to say this year it might be do to a little less sleep but I was starting to stress and not really enjoying the season which was also making me a little upset b/c I so love this yr. Well I am back and so not stressed out anymore. Because I stopped thinking of things I need to do and get done. might also be due to the fact that I got out most of my Christmas Cards sorry if I forgot you and you are reading this. Jonas spilled milk on my list and it got thrown out and I couldn't remember if I was missing anyone....Got a few little gifts out.

Anyhow I am not going out to the store anymore if I don't have it we don't need it. I haven't decided if I am going to cook a turkey yet as our oven isn't working that well, which is a little sad if I don't but oh well. Anyhow these are the thing I love about Christmas:

Christmas songs, I added some to my play list like Baby it's Cold outside, Ave Maria(always reminds me of Christmas time) etc.

Our Christmas cookies

Noah with our star

Our almost finished tree

Making Tom 30 day Cake(8 more days to go)

Our family...we miss the rest of our family though.

Christmas

Merry Christmas to Everyone who might read this!

Well it's almost here and I am so not ready for it. I am still trying to get Christmas cards out, and trying to make a few gifts. Tom's 30 day cake won't even be ready for Christmas since I started it on the 2nd of Dec. Can't surprise him with it either since it sitting in the kitchen being made...but the thought is what counts right.

Jonas birthday party was on Sunday and we went to play soccer and my friends mom is the GM at the place so she gave us a bouncey house for free, the all had a blast and us and the kids were completely exhausted afterward. I can't believe he is 2. I really feel like he was just born. I love having children but main do they really make the time fly and the years past by very quickly.

We got the lights finally up last weekend too and our tree is up and half decorated still, not sure if we'll get it completely decorated this yr.

I hope I have all my shopping done for the boys b/c I know I won't get out to do anymore.

I have pictures to get off the camera still but where is the time to do that. I wish I could do what I want with my pictures but than again there is no time for that either. I guess when all the kids are in school I will have time for that stuff that we talk about before Noah was born haha. But for now I am going to enjoy my kids and feel blessed that I get to be with them all the time, as so many mom who want to but can't b/c they need to work! I am truly blessed!

over due

in more than one way on here. Yes this blog post is way over due and yes I went for the first time past my due date. My computer is broken and the ipad won't let me blog so I have been trying to write entry on my email, but haven't been able to steal tom's computer till now. So here is some blogging now....that was written a while ago.

Yes I have been MIA on here for some time which I was well aware of. Half the reason is Tom has taken over my computer which I gave permission to do so, so that he wouldn't have to keep biking to and from work with his on his back, as well I had a lot of trouble sitting at the computer desk do my big belly and lastly I was just miserable from being pregnant and over due.

Anyhow this weekend was not fun one around here. Tom and I hope to catch a movie for our anniversary on Saturday but Friday Jonas fell ill at first with a cough that made it hard for him to breath and he ended up sleeping with us so we could monitor his breathing. Saturday was rough with fever of 102 for Jonas. Noah and nannie seem to just have colds, and Tom and I were exhausted from being up with Jonas, which we had no idea what was in store of the next night because Jonas still had I high temp and we got no sleep and took shift laying on the family room floor watching Mickey mouse and Curious George. Which left everyone feeling horrible and nothing got done not even the Thanksgiving dinner we planned to do. So the whole weekend was a wash out and even more frustrating I was still pregnant(even though in was very happy Lucas
didn't arrive on our anniversary). Monday I was still tired from the whole weekend and all but decided the kids need some fresh air and some time away from the tv....when sick where seem to be a lot on in the house. So we went for a walk but not ending up for a long one, where I have some hip pain issues and another reason was I didn't know we where having another heat wave for this time a yr. 90+F is really not my friend. So we turn back and went home. After the walk I had to rest my hip, there Lucas was killing them and has been for bad few months. Around 3 I started cooking our dinner for thanksgiving since the weekend didn't go over that well........

3:30 I started to notice contraction so I kepi an eye on them but didn't say anything because in wanted to make sure it was the real thing. About 3:45 I called Tom to remind him about dinner and mention that I was having contraction and he might have to come home sooner. By 4 I was pretty sure it was real since the contraction were getting stronger and went from 10 min to 7 min apart. Called Tom again and said come home since I knew he had a 8 min bike ride and than would like to shower if possible. When he got home we talked and contraction where around 6 min. Called the hospital a little after 5 pm they said to wait a bit maybe till the contractions were 4 or less apart. Well right before 6pm they jumped to 3min apart and Tom said we were going so we called and said we were coming in. Got to the hospital and contraction jumped to 2 min apart. we finally got sign in at 6:40 and put on the montiors to see if we were staying or going back home. they monitor us for 20 mins and than the check where we were only 4 cm. But they said we could stay b/c it appeared I was pretty uncomfortable. Got to our room just after 7pm, water broke shortly after getting into our room where they didn't even have the saline lock put in(i didn't want the iv in right away). They checked me after my water broke and I was 8 cm. So the nurse started rushing to get my saline lock and take some blood samples etc. Well by the time the blood was taken and I stood up again. My body said it was time for the baby to come so the nurse started rush and I laid down again. With the nurse telling me not to push which was harder than anything and I don't think I was doing a good job, anyhow the dr just got there in the nick of time and not ready just like last time and Lucas Thomas Flynn was born at 8:13pm just an about an hour after getting into our room.

Yes

....all we(I) are still very pregnant... Nothing to update here really.

Complaints
- I can't bend over anymore
-my hips hurt no matter if I am sitting, standing or laying down
-yes heartburn
- tired
-cranky
-yes the joys of the last weeks of pregnancy

Thankful
-Heat wave is over-
-didn't seem to swell like I did with the boys(rings are still on fingers)
-Mom Flynn arrives tomorrow(be nice to have someone over the age 3 in the house with me)

When is the baby going to come when it decides it's time, How big is the baby they are thinking it's going to BIG, oh yeah for me!!! Really hoping they are wrong. still wonder how ppl have small babies that get to full term.

Does the sex matter(really tired of this question- are you trying for a girl)?? NO not at all, every child is a blessing, and I don't try to have children to get one sex over the other, I am thrilled to just have another baby!!!

39wks

Not sure why but my kids always grow a lot after 36wks, like a lot. I was measuring behind at my 36wks and caught up at 38wks and there wasn't much weight gain at all so it's all belly growth. Today I am measuring 39wks. With Jonas I never measured passed 38wks. sigh....dr said it's going to be another big baby like we are already past 8lbs, and well that could be 2 lbs off which I know and that is what I worry about being 2 lbs more but hoping it's 2 lbs under. I really don't want a 9lbs + baby. Everything else is good though I broke the 20 lbs mark at this weigh in. I really hope when the baby comes that all the weight is mostly baby b/c with three kids and a hard working hubby I don't know when I will get to workout this time around. Next appt. is next Wednesday when I will be 40wks and a day...I am hoping not to make it to that one. This weekend or Monday would be good b/c my dr is on call and I would love it if she could deliver this one, she almost delivered Jonas but missed it by 5 mins after staying 2 hours after her rotation ended. Besides that things are slowly look towards labour but not a whole lot but things could change fast if this little one wants out. I am sort of hoping this little one doesn't come Thursday night or Friday, as the main person we have to look after the boys is flying out to Sweden at 6am Friday eekk. We have a lot of maybes if we can get a hold of them, so really Saturday night is the best time to have this Little one when mom Flynn is here.

Haven't gotten anything done around the house the last few days. It's been too hot in this heat wave and well with this new belly growth spurt I can truly say it's very hard to bend over or even get up from sitting on the floor after playing with the boys. However I did manage to still paint my toe nails haha. I have been getting laughed at by some of my exercise buddies (not that I have been exercising that much but have gotten to see them here or there) b/c they say from behind I don't even look pregnant and than all of a sudden when I turn sideways and my belly is huge. I guess that one way it is good. I am starting to swell with this heat but so far I still have my wedding rings on which this is a first for me. They normally have to come off at 35wks do to swelling. I sure hope tomorrow is cooler. I have taken the boys to a water park the last few days and I have to say it's a lot of fun watching them.

Well here is hoping that this little baby comes soon and I don't have to go over but we'll see I always feel I will and have gotten lucky to go into labour on my due dates even though jonas was born the next day so I guess I did go over one day with him. I am so excited that there is going to be another baby in our house!!!

Boy's room almost complete!

I got to do a few touch ups but not too many and of course put stuff up on the wall, like the letters for their names. The pictures are dark b/c they were taken right before bedtime. but there are a few shots.

The good old buddha belly.

These are over due for some of you that have been wondering how big I am. So here you go! I actually had some time tonight or well I decide I was tired of working on the house. Only two shirts are actually maternity shirts(week 26, 32 is the same shirt and of course the last photo ), which shows you how much maternity clothes I own haha.

16wk 5day, 17wks 1 day, 19 wks, 21 wks, 23wks 1 day

I have a feeling....

unless things change soon that this baby is going to be a late one and it will kill me ...well not literally of course. But I have been lucky with the boys and have gone into labour on my due dates. Well lets just say my dr appt this morning did not show labour progression at this point as it did with the boys ugh...

1.baby still high yup I knew that on my own(no dropping here),
2.head down yup I new that too. Lots of kick up top.
3. swelling ...yup I always know when 36wks is near b/c I swell up
4.weight still under 20lbs so I am happy with that one, but I know I will swell up like a balloon here, luckly the fluid weight goes down a day or two after delivery for me(well has in the past).

So now hoping Mom F is still in town when the baby shows up...I have a feeling if we are late I am going to go really late and I really hope Mom is not back on the plane heading back to Fredericton.

Got asked if I am ready for the baby the other day hahaha well if you think not having any new born close out of the box or storage, Still haven't gotten the new beds for the boys which mean we are short a bed for nannie, eekkk got to get on that one. I don't even have the diapers out yet either....Yes I am completely ready for this little one to come haha....I do however have the base of the car seat installed...so we can bring home the baby haha. I guess this weekend I have mix some baby stuff into the to due list since most of it is in storage. Well got work on the house.

Friday, August 27, 2010

Well we survived the germs and heat thanks goodness.

We are almost done for a while having work done on the house(well by others that is). Monday morning the electrian is coming in and doing all the work and hopefully the contractors will finish up the last few things...than is all up to us to finish everything. I will be happy to have no more ppl coming in the house. Our dishwasher is now in which I am really happy more b/c it's not sitting in the middle of the kitchen. I still have yet to use it haha. Probably run it before bed tonight.

Today has been a weird day and I am completely wiped but I really didn't do much so not too sure why I am exhausted and falling asleep on the couch while the boys played. So I didn't do work on the house today at all :S. Hopefully I will get stuff done this weekend. I really want to finish the boys room and at least one wall in our room so I can move tom's dresser in to the bedroom.

For fun I did a gender quiz for the baby and this is the result I got. I don't think they were ever right with the boys I know sometime I got 50-50 on them so we'll see how this one pans out.

You have a 38% chance of having a boy.
And you have a 61% chance of having a girl.

It sucks

....being sick that is. We all came down with colds but than last night tom spiked a fever and has the flu.... this is when it really sucks being the mom...I wish someone else was the mom....Mom's always take care of things but than who takes care of mom. sorry for complaining but I had to get it out there.

We are in a heat wave this week and I hope it's short lived. Our house has been cool most of the summer. Actually the summer here this yr has been beautiful I think. It's been warm but not hot hot. Which is wonderful when you are pregnant. Tomorrow is suppose to be hotter and oh boy it sucks. Just to let you know it was 95 F at 5pm here which is 35 C for all you back home.

Well hopefully the germs in this home go away soon and we can get back to our stuff on the house and another hopeful wish is this baby comes early, not getting too hopeful for on that one but we'll see. what happens. Next dr appt is in two weeks. Hopefully we'll have some news that labour is close to begin!!!

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

Well I haven't been getting much done on the house lately. I have got the run around from a paint supply store which could have made me cry b/c I was so tired and dragging the boys around. First place said they didn't make the paint anymore but sent me to another city that was suppose to have it (not too far) but on the way the gps broke I got lost for over an hour, boys were hungry etc happen. Finally got a hold of tom for him to help me find out where to go. Get there and they are like :I don't know why they sent you here"(even thought he called that store and told them I was coming...ugh). Than they told me no it not discontinued but ran out of the paint and it won't be in the store till dec sometime..."what??? are you serious this crappy beige paint that the sellers painted the whole house with even the ceilings" You would say why don't you just pick another color well since it me doing the fixing and there is still lots I have to do I don't have time to re-paint ceiling or more rooms. I still have sanding, puttying, caulking baseboards to do and try doing it when you're over 7 month pregnant with a bad back. Yeah paint another colour is just not an option right now where all I want to do is touch ups and well paint a 2 ft wide strip a crossed one of the master bedroom walls where not sure why the termite people ripped apart, with the floor....nice I know. So they gave me something sort of the same but not the same and said put it on lightly and it might blend how nice thank you horriable kelly moore paint store I will not shop there for my own colour choice. That morning we left at 10:30 am and got home at 4pm, since we got lost again leaving. Well not really lost but trying to cut over mulit lanes was for some reason harder to do yesterday so I couldn't make some turns I wanted to, and than I got stuck behind(not only me a few of us) stalled car and No one was letting us out. Oh did I mention I had to tired kids with me.... yup I did. However for what they went through I have to say I am pretty blessed with great kids(yes there still was screaming crying but it could have been a trillion times worst). I also have be returning things left and right b/c they don't fit or aren't working etc. which is more running around...love owning a house at these moment yup sure do!!!!

Today I only got the wall in my bedroom primed, so I guess I will have to lightly paint it tomorrow ugh. Still need curtains up but have run to a few problems where we can't get the drill to go all the way through we have multi holes now which I need to fill and patch with my none matching paint. I think I only have 2 boxes left to unpack(not counting the ones in storage) and they are junk boxes. Than there are 3 boxes of Hockey cards which I can't even lift so I got to get Tom to lift those and see if we can put them somewhere(have no idea where at the moment) . My dishwasher which I was hoping to have installed by the end of the week not so much to use really but that is a bounce but to get the boxed up dishwasher that is sitting in the middle of my kitchen floor out of the way. However, we have to wait on permits for the electrical work since the panel has to be up graded. Hopefully next week maybe. I have big goals to get stuff done this weekend but we'll see how my back is. I really need to get the entry trim done and the boys room finished. Than I will just pick away at what is left. Still haven't bought the boys beds yet, got to wait a little long till that can be done. Can I finish this all in less than 7 wks I really hope so....but some what doubtful!

As for the belly it's growing but my weight not reflexing it really, some how our scale says in the last 5 days I lost 3 lbs which is shocking b/c I alway loose wait in the first tirmester but have never in the third but I bet it will be back up at my 36wk appt, so I am not worried at all. Funny how I know and have a bunch of friends pregnant and they are already doing every 2wk appt but my don't start till after my 36wks appt. So three more wks till that appt. Not sure how ppl go early with their pregnancy b/c at this rate I could probably run a marathon and still deliver at 40 wk or later haha. Like I have said I have back problems and the usual unhappy 3 trimester symptoms but oh well, I just live with it and move on. I think of it as work, suck it up and get through it. Baby is head down now and I hope stays that way but still has room to move around. Looking forward to meeting this little one though. I truly can't wait for the baby to come and it would be a blessing in many ways if s/he came at the end of Sept even though it would be hard since mom flynn won't be here till Oct 2, but I have a friend that said she'll come and watch the boys but I just hope if that happen she'll answer the phone. Worst case I guess the boys come with us till someone can come get them :S.

Well that probably it for now, Noah lost my nail setter(?) the things the sink the nails in further so you can putty over them, so I can't work on that tonight. Good thing they were cheap, but I guess I will have to go out and buy some more.

well I think that is the update here, probably missed something but I am tired so night all.

August

....already, really whole cow...I have so much to still do and only 9 wks to do it in. Doesn't help I am getting more tired these days either. so I have for junk boxes left I think and than little piles here and there which I am scared will stay there forever, b/c Tom needs to also go through them and that will be probably be like pulling teeth to get done. We still have a storage unit too of stuff but I am not even bring that into the place till all the work is done on the house. Which was suppose to start tomorrow but I haven't heard a word if it is or not, SO LOVELY. We are also getting an alarm unit put in at the end of the week. I don't think we really need it but since I am home a lot by myself with the kids and especially when it starts getting late at night as well we have four different entries into the house it make me feel a bit better to have it. We have to keep it for 2 yrs and than well if we don't feel it is necessary than we'll get rid of it. Like I said I don't think we really need it. Our neighbour hood is in a good area and well I know my neighbours are probably watching us all the time haha. Got to love being the youngest around(they have nothing better to do but watch out their windows :) ). I really doesn't bother me either to tell you the truth, it sort of reminds me of home haha

We are trying to plant some grass outside but that is taking a while haha. Tom also has we think one of the oleander stumps chopped out of the ground. He's done really good with working on that. He'll come home from work and grab the little bit of light that is left of the day and give some good swing. Hopefully but the weekend he'll have the smaller one of the two out. I am starting to feel better about getting stuff put away but there still is so much stuff to do. I am starting to wonder if I ever will. I think once the baseboard work is done and I can put the bookshelfs up and furniture where I really want it I will feel at home.

Well I got to my exercise class after i think once since we got back from our trip home in june. so so sad, I am moving slower that is for sure and yes part of it is b/c I am pregnant but really it's more because I haven't been going.

I am still hoping these 9wks go fast though, I am ready to be done with this pregnancy, and hold this little one in my arms.

Well since we did guess for the boys and I put them in their baby books I am going to do the same thing for this little one so please let me know

Baby Guess
1. If you think it will be a BOY or a girl
2. when you think HIS/ her birthday will be
3. How big and how long HE/she will be

I think that is all I did for the boys I guess I need to double check but that is good for now. So let me know so I can fill it in to the baby book.

Sorry but I don't want to hear....

Anymore about peoples vacations at all. It's been over two yrs since we had one and I am jealous. I don't need to go far to enjoy myself on vacation at all. I would be happy to even have a vacation here at home, infacted a true long weekend or H.E double hockey sicks a good relaxing weekend. Yes this is a bit of a rant but I am so tired of hearing the word vacation. I want to go somewhere or even stay at home with the whole family and not have to do anything, but relax wake up and just eat breakfast go to a park all together with No driving, No time frame to be here or there. Just do what we want to do....That my folks is a vacation. OF course I love to be at a beach...I love to get up eat breakfast than head off to the beach, splash in the water, play in the sand and than head back for lunch and decide what to do later. Like walk to a local market etc. Just have a slow pace day all together. But nope that is not reality anyhow, Oh well... I am happy you all are having your vacation in all, because I feel they are so important.....One day we'll be able to have a break just got to be wait be patient... because they say good things happen for those who wait right?

Boxes and boxes

I think I am half way through them but yet there is still more oh my goodness. The mess is driving me crazy but since I worked really hard last week at trying to get thing out of the boxes I am having a hard time motivating myself this week, plus I don't think my emotions on missing my friend has help out either. Yesterday was probably the first tuesday in months maybe a yr(well we missed like one or two over the yr) that I didn't have her over for lunch. yup her gone is pretty much killing me but I have to suck it up and move on and I know we'll keep in touch but still sometime it's hard.

Anyhow I am 30wks 1 day today which means I have 69 days left of this pregnancy hopefully I won't go over. Feeling okay getting pretty tired, lots of heartburn and trouble sleeping too. But that is the norm, it not going to get any better till the little one is here. Weight is still in check and pretty much all out front growth as I can still wear a few of my not pregnancy carpis and shorts they just have to be low but I can button or tie them woo hoo, shirts on the other hand are posing a little more of a probably but oh well. Hopefully not much longer.

Well I took a few messy house pictures I figure some of you might be wanting to see so here they are,

This the third room most likely to be the baby's room and guess room,

This is the family room that is not put together and has toys all over the place as well.

The is of the living room which houses most of our boxes mostly since I got most of the kitchen done.

The Kitchen is a mess and yesterday they dropped off the dishwasher which will be sitting there in the box behind the table till the carpenter, plumber, electrician comes to cut out the cupboards by the fridge and make a spot for it.

Jonas was sleeping so I didn't get a photo of their room and probably couldn't anyhow b/c there is a dresser in the door way and our is a mess as well with the drawers not put back in the dresser etc.

House and good bye to friends

Weekend was off to a rough start as we didn't get much sleep where Noah was having dream issues and kept waking us up...the morning came way too soon today. Than the roofers came so no sleeping in, as well my heart burn didn't make sleeping any easier. The good news is we have a roof and it's done woo hoo, so so happy. We now have a roof and floors and hopefully only two weeks left of things get fixed, till we can afford to fix some more things(not talking cosmetics either, that is so far down the line)....ah the joys. I think I am finally 3/4 the way through getting my kitchen done, than I need to organize it better and find the perfect place for things. Family room is a work in progress, and I can't do too much more till the contractor comes in to put the baseboards down. We were suppose to move the boys into the third bedroom so I can prime the walls to paint tomorrow evening but it didn't happen so hopefully tomorrow evening I can get the priming done. Tom has to go over early to the apartment and finish getting the last few loads of junk and hand in our keys.

In the craziness of our messy house we had a good bye party for my best friend and the boys best friend, who move monday to Phoenix for the next yr but there is no guaranteed they are going to move back here as they don't know what life will be in the next yr. I am quite sad as best friends are hard to come by...You know the kind you can just say anything to, or sit in your messy apartment and eat peanut butter sandwiches together while the kids play, or call anytime and see if they want to do something etc. I am excited for her though too b/c she is finishing her master degree and has worked very hard to get this far, and is doing her workman ship this coming school yr. It's very bitter sweet but I won't lie I will probably be pretty depressed when she is gone. It was a great evening though but I didn't say good bye I am not very good with those even with family. I try to do it like a band aid fast and quick so no one sees tears and so I don't get too upset. Oh I am going to miss her and the boys are going to miss Wesley too. However we had a great evening with laughs etc.

Well I am exhausted and need to sleep and hopefully will get a good nights rest as tomorrow seem to be a busy day for us tomorrow.

Hope you all are having a good weekend.

Trying to get settled in

Ugh I had a bunch written the other night and some how it not there anymore, so time to start over.

So moving day happened on Monday and it was long and exhausting and we still have some junk over at the apartment too...ugh. But we survived it and all the packing, moving and stress of it all didn't cause early labour so that is great and I don't think this little one will come early now after that day.

We are all loving the house even in it's messy state that it is. First off so much bigger than anything we have lived in haha. It's bright and sunny and maybe a little too much since we have no window covering(hopefully we'll get something temporary this weekend). But all the same we are loving it. The boys run around crazy, Bella I think is trilled to have all the space and Tom and I love it as well. Still lots to do and fix which will happen over time.

So I have been scrubbing and scrubbing and scrubbing(these old house collect a lot of dirt but we are slowly getting rid of it all), painting, papering shelves and than unpacking some of the boxes. I think I might have a little over 1/4 of the kitchen done but there is so much more to do. I have also worked on the hallway closets, and the family room. We did have one clean room which was the storage room till the roofers came yesterday and ripped off the roof and debris fell down into the storage room since there is no ceiling and no one thought of that not us or even the roofers that were in there for the electrical outlet ugh so so messy and all over our washer/dryer etc. I have a bit of the family room done, our beds have sheets on them and a few of the hallway closets are done. I have about 10 loads of laundry to do and would have done them if we had a clothes line but we don't. Not all the furniture is in place and won't be till another few weeks when the baseboards are in place. But it's slowly turning into a home, oh so slowly. We did try and put some grass in and the place we started is now ruined but it was the only place out front the roofers could pull up their truck(it was sad and sort of funny at the same time.)

We had the roofers start yesterday at 8am and they have the whole roof off but seem to have taken a break today since no one is here working on it and it is now 12pm. I am also waiting for the gas company to show up and turn our gas on today( I have a waiting time of 8am -8pm woo hoo I love those waiting time LOL), yes the last few days we have had no gas which means no hot water or a working dryer. I can't wait to have hot water, but last night I did finally find our pot, so I did boil some water to wash our dishes and scrub a bit more since scrubbing with cold water seem to take longer too. Tomorrow hopefully by the afternoon we'll have a phone etc. that waiting time is only suppose to be an hour or so, I am hoping by 12 noon well have things working but we'll see. I am hoping that Saturday our cooktop will be installed, (we only have partial working one now and tom doesn't like me to use it but we need to eat too). Next mid week is baseboards and door frames, and than hopefully at least have the carpentry done to put our dishwasher in which won't be as simple as we hoped b/c to make it simple we need to find a dishwasher 31 inches tall when the standard is really around 33 inchs which means a lot more work and removing counter top, and getting something for a counter top that won't look to bad to put it back in to match the rest ugh ugh ugh.

Well should run and feed the kids and get back to doing something so that we will have a working house some what. I can't wait till the next few weeks are done and all the projects we have at the moment will be done.

Things to do and think about.

Disappointed this weekend the floor guys didn't work on the floors this weekend which mean that the floor will most likely be finished on Thursday now instead of Tuesday which I was really hoping for. Oh well I guess as long as they do a good job that is all that matters in the end. There is much more that needs to be done but will have to wait a few more months before we can look into them. I have also been having trouble deciding what to do with the boys room. We got the paint but now we need to pick the room and what to do about beds. We don't want Noah in a top buck yet, since tom fell out once when he was much older than Noah is and as well all the safety stuff I been reading says they should be at least 6yrs old to go on top. Yes we are a bit of the safety nut parents in some ways, but also we've have had stitches and a few other big bumps along the way and even though you think those might not be bad, dealing with a panicked little one crying and asking you to stop and that they are all done while you are holding them still in the emergency room is not fun and very heart breaking. I also think Noah would be okay but there is that line when something could happen...ugh. I have found two bunks I like one is to mission style twin beds over each other that can be separated and used as two beds but has a ladder which I don't like. The other is a mission on the bottom and has a stair case that are also drawers which I love but the top buck isn't a mission and not sure if you can use it separate. It is a tough decision but I still have time to think about and decide b/c we can't buy them for a few months anyhow. Or we can just buy a cheap frame(not including the head for foot boards) and put a boxspring and matters on them for the boys. What to do?

Slowly getting more packing done, very slowly but I did pack some of the toys up and need to work on the odds and ends. I am hoping this Saturday to transfer all the food to the house and picture off the wall and our clothes to start.

Well it was a busy weekend of birthday parties, good bye parties as well tom working to squeeze in some hours to make deadlines. The next weekend we have our move and some more birthday and good bye parties, So so busy and I have to say it is very draining too, with tom working the weekend. This week we have our apartment inspection, our cooktop gets installed at the house on Monday, Wednesday doctor appointments, Thursday the car need to be in to the garage and there are a few morning that I am forgetting b/c I know everyday is packed. I am tired just thinking of it, and then the fallowing week is unpacking haha woo hoo. I think about when I turn 50 I will be able to put up my feet and have a days break.

Our Home!

This is long over due I know but things are just crazy lately and finding lots of time to do things is just hard to do. So here is our home.

Not easy getting a family photo either out side but this is the best I could do with the kids wiggling and well my remote for the camera doesn't seem to focus that well.

Things I love about our house,

It is double the size what we are living in now.
Has a washer and dryer
large fenced in back yard
It has a fireplace
a family room
a eat in kitchen
two bathrooms
Oh and trees out front seem to keep the place pretty cool!

Things I would love to change in years to come.

The design of the kitchen.
Put better windows/doors in
add on to the master bed and bath(it's a small master)
And maybe add up but not sure I sort of like one floor house and all the bedrooms on the same floor.

Days like today....

I WISH....

1. I was on Vacation
2. I had at least an hour to myself
3. The mess would just clean up itself
4. Things would get done on time

Update on things here

Happy 4th of July and July 1st for all the American and Canadians.

I have to say I was disappointed that we didn't get out the the Canada Day BBQ last weekend but we got stuck at the house and the kids were to tired. :S I missed out on the Canadian chocolate and other goodies they have, but I really don't need them either. Today I am not sure what we are going to do during the day. I know Tom needs to work some and we are all going to listen to the San Francisco Symphany tonight and watch the fire works, is on of the most amazing shows ever and it's awesome to just lay there on the grass hill and take it all in. I will be sad next yr when we won't get free tickets for it since we won't be living in mountain view but the grass seat aren't that expensive.

So as for the house we got some stuff done and I was sore again but back off when I feel things going down hill. I rescreened 2 windows and washed 4 more( I ran out of screen so I picked the more damaged ones)...I will rescreen things when I am not pregnant anymore b/c it just to hard on my back. Me and bending over are not friends at all and it causes a lot of pain(more than I could have ever thought b/c it wasn't like this with the boys...I had some not really with Noah but with Jonas but nothing like this). I sanded some walls where I did some patch up, now got to prime and paint them. I finished cutting a bush down that is growing against the house(there are a lot of them that are right against the house that have to be remove but they are so big so one at a time. We have to call and get the floors and roof started. I am really hoping they can start next week. Since the movers are suppose to come on the 19th I think. We are cutting it close but what can you do when ppl make you wait for quotes etc. We bought our cooktop yesterday... I think I am going to be very happy with it. I think we got a diswasher picked out too but will wait a little bit. We got to get a carpeter in to remove a cabnet to have it instelled. We got the paint for the boys rooms(not got to figure out which room and how to paint it with the kids around). I know we did a few other thing, Tom cleaned the storage room and went to the store to pick up some stuff, put the mail box up and helped with the bush. The chimney men are done woo hoo. But there is so much more to do. I just want the floors done though.

As for the pregnancy, there is no more room in there for this kid. I can hardly eat and this one is so high up under my ribs already sitting is not fun. Besides my back and energy things are pretty good though. I am dying for this little to come early too but really s/he can't because Mom Flynn doesn't arrive till the 2nd but s/he will be the one to determine when the big day will come.

Proctive day sort of...

I got the bathroom scrubbed, scrubbed the kitchen floor, and the kitchen cleaned before making a double batch of banana chocolate chip muffins with Noah and his friend Wesley(I was babysitting for my friend for the afternoon). Got the carpet vacuumed, and spot clean with my spot carpet cleaner, kids stuff picked up for now, and while the muffins are baking I need to clean the dinning area and than move on to tidying up my bedroom and sort through things to throw out and pack. Tonight when the kids are in bed I will sit down and try to go through papers and pack up some more.

So we are still waiting to get someone to fix our floors at the new house. Tom and my friends husband was suppose to refinish them this weekend but since we haven't gotten anyone to repair the master yet there no since working on the rest. Plus everyone one so far that has come in want to do the repairs and refinish them. So it might come to that and might help Tom with juggling work and house work. So now it's time to crunch some numbers. We are hoping next wednesday the roof can be started. As well looks like we need a new electrical box in the house b/c it's old and won't support our small 7ci deep freezer etc. ugh.

July 21st

We should be in our house and I can't wait. We got some progress done the other day but there is so much to do. I of course over did it and couldn't even walk, move, or sit near the end so I layed in bed at 9pm till I fell asleep. The chimney work starts tomorrow and the roofing guys come Wednesday to look at what has been done with the chimney and termite work and give us the final quotes and option we can do. To night we have a contractor who's a neighbour of my friend coming to the house to look at the floors which were damaged from the termite work that was done, and a few other things around the place and than hopefully this Saturday Tom and my friends husband will start the work on the hardwood floors. So hopefully by the end of the next a few more things will be closer to being done. We also have to remove two Oleander bushes from the the back yard which Tom has been working two full days on digging up(the roots are huge) it's a shame that these plants are highly toxic b/c they are beautiful bushes.

We met a few of our neighbours when we were leaving the house last night. I think everyone is retired and nosy haha but they seem friendly in all.

Since this weekend is a long one but tom will be working on the floors we won't be up to much and me and the boys will be staying at the apartment out of the way so the floors can get done. We will go see the July 4th fireworks like always(last yr of free tickets b/c next yr we won't be residence of Mountain View anymore). Where has the month of June gone I don't know.

Well the kids have been good since I have pretty laying down for the day and can do anything. I think I am going to have to start physio here soon. Hopefully tomorrow my back will be a bit better and I can work on the apartment tomorrow. So much to do it's crazy.

Well that it just sitting is killing my back so off to lay down.

I shouldn't be on here

....I have so much to do but my back is killing me and even walking is hard. There is probably lots of stuff I can ramble on about but mostly I won't, I will just mention a few highlights of stuff.

We had a great time seeing everyone back home even though it was short and way too much driving. We got stuck at the airport again and missed our connecting flight but something good did come out of it. We got upgraded to Business class which none of us have been in before, it felt like royalty, everything free and roomier. Which is bitter sweet since we know now exactly what we are missing when we fly in coach haha. We got home just in time for rush hours traffic which was so much fun, so by the time we got home and got some groceries we were all exhausted, but the boy troupers.

Well we are back in our own crazy stuff with Tom's work and closing on the house which keeps giving twist and turns now, which is not a lot of fun but at this point I am not sure we'll have floors in two of the bedroom, especially in the master since a lot was ripped out to fix termite damage but they didn't even rip it out professionally and just cut way at it and didn't try to save pieces so that we could put it back in place, more money that we don't have but enough about house issue. I am sure things well work out some how even if it means haven't no floor for a while.

Also had my dr appt. It went well i have only gained 5lbs but some how measuring 3 wks ahead which I already sort of guessed since I feel the baby way up under my ribs anyhow. But all seemed well so that was great. I also have to start my yoga tapes to help my back out and if it doesn't seem to work than she is sending me to physio since I had a hard time getting off the table this morning and walking out to the car. So I want to avoid paying for that so I have a date with my yoga dvd tonight after the boys go to bed since they wouldn't let me do it this afternoon.

Happy Birthday Noah

Today is our oldest son's birthday and I can't believe he is three yrs old today. We had a party last weekend b/c this weekend we are going back home to visit family. Three years is really not that long but I really can't believe how fast it is going. I remember his first year still pretty good. He was a pretty good baby in our eyes. The only big trouble we had was probably from 1month old to 3 months when he would cry from 9pm- 12am, besides that he was pretty good. We could take him every where and he would sleep. The time did go fast but nothing like when you add a second one. I don't think I even remember jonas first yr(that went way faster).

Anyhow today is Noah's day.

1.He's pretty quick at learning things and I would say is a head of his friends in lots of ways.
2.He can be shy, especially when he's tired.
3.In new settings he is divided in the since sometime he jumps right in and joins in and others he sits back watches takes it all in and than comes home and repeats it all.
4. He loves his music class and soccer class a lot (just sad we might not be able to continue it for a while since money is now tight and it's not cheap)
5. Loves to be silly
6. gives good hugs and kisses.
7. Loves to help mom bake and cook.

I think we are pretty lucky b/c he is really a good kid, I could go on and on.

Happy Birthday Little man, we love you.

Signing our life away

Tomorrow we do this!!! eeeekkkkk is all I feel at the moment. Hard to believe we have a house, I still don't believe it and I worry about it too. There are so many things that need to be done. Some can wait a few yrs and some sort of need to be dealt with asap, or pretty close to it. So we'll have lots of professionals coming in and getting quotes as to what the cost will be and than decide what we can and can't do. I am not even talking about making things pretty at all. Do to the age of the house things just need to be brought to code. Like the chimney, isn't not attached to the house and hello where to we live but California near a fault line haha, it might not also be up to standers anymore either. So we are trying to think of our option. I think we'll put in a gas fire place....can't believe I said that since I think that is sacrilegious in taking out a wood fireplace. It's really sad and if we lived back home we would not do it at all but since we live here and there are so many spare the air days and no burn days(meaning you can get fined for using your fireplace) gas just makes more since down here. I will shade a tear when doing this or if we can do it. I am not going to go down the list at the things that must be done. It stresses me out just thinking of it all. But we get the key on the 24th woo hoo.

Got some paint samples but I think I am going to go to Home depot and get the kind you can paint on the wall and really look at them. I think my goal is just to do the boys room and than later one accent wall in the kitchen and maybe the bathrooms but we'll see. Than of course when we are able to the whole kitchen will get a face life but that won't happen for about 5 or more yrs down the road. Dreams that one day things will look how I dream they might be.

Anyhow got to get to bed, early morning got to get my pen hand rested. Than back to packing.

Friday, June 11, 2010

It's offical or pretty close as possible to being.

We are excited, nervous and the journey was not fun at all. I really do not want to do it again in a long long time. We will be official poor but will own a house(or well the bank will own most of it) as late as June 29th, when we will get the keys and escrow gives the money to the sellers.

We won't be moving in right away as there are somethings to take care of and well we have to give our apartment 30 days notice, so it won't be to mid July till we move in. We are looking forward to making it our own but that really won't happen for a few yrs since we have no way to make it our own after paying the down payment and closing costs and doing at least some of the few repairs it needs. The rest will just have to wait till we save for awhile so maybe another five yrs down the road we can start on changing a few things.

It's a 3 bdr house with an eat in kitchen(I love that), large living room, and a large family room as well as two small baths(one off the small master bdr) which will be nice so we don't have to shower in the dark b/c we don't want the fan to come on and wake the boys if we are up before them. Good size fenced in backyard which is naked but will have to wait for a yr or more till we can really fix up to what we want it to look like but there is an apricot tree and one other small fruit tree.

It' has been a pretty stress journey dealing with situation that would come up. One min things were good another min things were bad but finally things are straight and the owners are fixing a few things up over the next few weeks which they have to in the contract and when we get back from Canada we might have the keys a little early.

The boys have picked the color of their room and I am hoping to get it painted before we move in officially but we'll see how much I can get done, since there is a lot to over see and do. Hopefully if I take them there they can play in the backyard while I paint or something. Or nothing might not get done, who knows, but time. I just hope I can get in and get the unpacking and at least set things up before late September -early October when baby #3 arrives (yes not very public news and no we aren't posting things on facebook about it so please no posting).

sorry that is all the time I have got to bake a cake for tomorrow and find out what one quiet boy is into.

No words

Well sometimes I would like to blog but there is no time, or I start and never finish again because there is no time and I have to say by the time the kids are down and there is a bit of time I am too tired and just want to relax and do much of nothing. I am trying to keep up with my cross stitching b/c it's easy and doesn't require me to get out a lot of things like my scrapbooking which hasn't been done in over a yr, that is sad to say but it's true.

Still not a lot going on here really, even though at times I feel stressed out. It funny how you might not have major things or extremely serious things going on in your life but how a bunch of little things and lack of quality of sleep/and a decrease in your exercise levels can make you feel stressed out. So that is where I sit as of now. I have to get ready for Noah's birthday party this Saturday. He's having about 4 friends over for a pool/pizza party, it should be a lot of fun for him. He's so excited for his birthday and turning 3. I am glad not to have it in the house since it's a small pace and the packing boxes doesn't help the cramped issues here.

I am still trying to pack some but have trouble if there is a lot of bending over and lifting since my back has not been very good lately, got to love having sciatic nerve issue. But doing the best I can at the moment. We are hoping to move at the beginning of July.

In just a little over a week we'll be flying home for a quick visit to our families and celebrate my grandmother's 100th birthday. It will be a small family thing but really nice to be there with her. As well as seeing our family and meeting two new nephew's too.

As we have been looking into new housing arrangements down here and I have been watch home buying shows on HGTV. We have been shock at how little people put on their down payments on a house like seriously really 10% and even lower and even 10 is crazy low. No wonder people have a lot of mortgage troubles etc. It's crazy how people jump into buying so quickly, we even laugh at the shocked faces of them, when they don't realize all the underlining cost of things that are added on to the price of the home. I shake my head and be like really are you that clueless. You'd think if you really wanted to buy a house you would look into all the cost that are involved into buying a house. As well why would you buy a house before having an inspection of the property done haha that is really crazy when I here people doing. It's like buying a car and not knowing the history of the car if you are buying a used car. Crazy I tell you, people really do crazy stuff with big decision. It really blows my mind. Anyhow we are still looking at our option and figuring things out, which is not a fun process and means to re do our budget which is a bit scary because it won't be in the direction I want it to go. Oh well that is the curve balls life throws at you.

Is it really June...

all ready I mean where did the first half of the yr go, well this is the last month of the first half but really where is it going. This month has so much going on my head is spinning. In two weeks we'll be home in Canada for a week, yup only a week pretty sad really b/c most of the time will be traveling :2 days in the air, and 4 part days on the road and the other part days will be trying to see our families that we miss so much. I think next time we come home. We are going to head to PEI in the summer stay at a cottage and everyone can come to us and either join us or visit. That way we aren't on the road the whole trip and if ppl come and join us for a bit we can see our family longer so you all better think of that idea. I really doubt we'll be home next yr. I have a feeling with us moving to a bigger place things will be stretch thin and 4 plane tickets and a rental car adds up. However you don't really know how things unfold either in the future but we also have to be realistic too, So my PEI dream of a relaxing time at home with our families may never happen but that is one good things about dreaming you are free to do it and it's free. I think it would be pretty cool to get all of our families together on a vacation even if it just a few days at the same time.

We have started the packing processes and I have to say it's a lot harder with the boys around who oh so much want to help pack. I have started working on the book cases, and than will move on to the closet. I hope to move as much as I can into the storage unit we are renting. After I finish packing up those things I will start with things we don't use as much in the kitchen. I have already packed and put in storage, our extra sheets, towels etc. I will leave all our clothes on hangers and in drawers but will remove the drawers from our dress and just take them to our new place where ever that will be. I am going to pack up some of the boys toys that the they don't play with that much. As well put their boxes of clothes in the storage too but those are in the closet so that is back at step on. woo well I got three boxes done this morning so I better get back and continue. Since I need to walk to the grocery store for a few things so I can make pizza dough and pizza for supper tonight. Here is hoping I get a lot done today.
