Not sure how it happen, it seem like it happen just over night that my little boy was born and all of a sudden is 1 now. We remember this day so well last yr, it's crazy because it truely feels like it happen yesterday. I was complaining of this pregnancy never ending and how miserable I was. So we went out for the day and bought the clip and go stroller and went to a small grocery store that we have never been to and last to the Pete's coffee shop right beside it. We got home and didn't even get groceries put away when my water broke at 4:15pm. Laughing and talking we went to the hospital to have Noah born at 9:24pm, almost by 5 nurses. I truly Love that day, everything about it was great and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Best of all we got our little boy.

Hi folks I really haven't written in a while so I thought it probably time to get on here for a little note. I am pretty tired lately and Noah seem to be giving up his one and only nap, so that makes me even more tired. So that is one reason I haven't been on here that much, plus the computer just makes my headaches even worst( I pretty much have one everyday all day).
Hard to believe Noah will be 1 on Monday, not sure where the year went. But I have fully enjoyed the year with Noah and couldn't dream life with out him. I have said it to many times by now and I really don't understand how this yr with Noah went so fast but 9 months to bring a child into the world takes forever!!!! More news on Noah he's taking steps on his own but not many but I see it processing in his head and it's not going to be long before he's running wild. His talking is getting closer to real words he can say Go when we read one of this favorite books ' Go Dog Go' and cold, a few others but I just can't think as my head is starting to hurt more as I type.
Other than that we got very terrible news today that Tom's cousin Jenn lost one of her twins today. Jessica Elizabeth was one month old, she tried her hardest to stay and even though she had many people loving her and praying for her and her sister Alyssa, she passed away this morning. I don't understand why pure and innocent children go through so much in life that most of us will never have to face. It just doesn't seem right or fair to me at all. Jessica will be with all of us in our hearts. Rest now little angle rest, we all love you and will always remember you!!!

Crazy driver
Well this was taken one night before bed time. I thought I got a better one but I guess I was tired and didn't hit the record button. He pretty good and loves speed, I just wish he had a long hallway for him so he can really go. We took him to a store last weekend and let him push a small wagon and he went the whole length of the aisle full tilt. Anyhow here is a short clip and doesn't really show you how well he can do but it's all I got.

Picture and a bit of a rant.
,
Here's a picture of Noah and his friends that my friend just sent me. Noah is the smallest but is the oldest of the three, and the boy on his right is the youngest by a month. Anyhow they all get along great and learn new skills from each other. Friday play dates are always fun to see what they are up too.
Well Noah is wanting to walk everywhere now holding on to your fingers( and will take steps by himself if he is in between things that are close to each other), which is making it harder and harder to get things done around here, with many other things making it hard to get things done. I will be happy when he's walking completely by himself and I am feeling better.
Beside that not much else is going on there. I am trying to reduce that amount of plastic we have in our house b/c it bothers me a lot, and hopefully we'll be plastic free one day. I recycle what I can but there is so much that they don't take and well it doesn't break down, so there for it horrible for the environment. We stopped buying plastic toys for Noah and will eventually replace the ones we have with wood and metal(like the old tonka trucks), plus those kind of toys last longer than the cheap plastic ones. For his birthday coming up we got him a really well made wooden drum, which took a little bit of looking but if you know your stores they aren't hard to find. Well that is my rant for today I kept it short but I could go on and on about how mad I get with ppl that don't recycle and don't try to keep the world healthy for our children etc. to me they are just lazy. Here is an article that just shows how bad it is Plastic Ocean. That is just in the ocean what about our landfills. Some days I view the human race as a parasite killing it's host(the world). Sad thought really but so true.

11 Months old
OKay so our boy is 11 months old and only has one month left till the BIG #1. Sort of sad how fast the time went. We love watching him grow but also would love for him to stay our little boy. Here is what our very busy boy is all about these days, Well show you his muscle shots. He did well because we were actually getting him to show you his muscle poses.

And of course here are the smiles for the ladies, that he flashes when they speak to him.

Getting teeth......
are not much fun Noah wants us all to know. On mother's day we noticed one of Noah's teeth coming through and I have to say that there is no guessing anymore that he is teething. We were up most of the night crying and pretty much all morning too. It makes one really sad boy that is for sure. I know for sure one has broken the surface but he won't let me in to see if there is more or just one. I just hope that these teeth all come in at once and not one by one. We need our very happy boy back. Really going to miss that gummy smile that I love soo much. Not to much else is going one here with us, just the normal every day routine for us, ttill next time .

Yosemite National Park
We have been wanting to go to Yosemite since we moved here but it just hasn't happened. Last year we planned to go but between tom's work and me being pregnant and huge it just didn't work out. So after seeing some pictures from Steph's blog of their Easter Weekend trip there, I told tom we had to go before the end of May. The reason I wanted to go before the end of May is because that is the best times to see the Waterfalls at the park, when the ice caps are melting. You really need to do more than just a weekend there we found. We'll have to go back and do all the stuff that we didn't get to do this time. We did however do one good hike on the mist trail that goes to the Vernal falls which was like up and up, a short distance but pretty step, that some people did make it up, and that trail was only moderate. As well an easy one to see the lower and upper falls. Here are some pictures of our weekend hope you enjoy!!!

Too much wasted time.
Well I been finding I am on this computer way too much lately. Things seem to busy here and things need to get done. I don't like the feeling of wasting time and I don't like planning to do things and than before I know it the day is over and not much got done b/c I wasted time. It's like sleeping in too, I can't stand sleeping in b/c if I do, my day is pretty much half over and I have missed out on being out doors in the sun etc. The tv is also like that, but I been good with that one, I just don't bother turn it on during the day. These things just suck the life out of me, instead I could be outside playing with Noah , getting the chores done fast and whatever else that needs to be done, like the pile of sew I need to do, that just seem to be growing. I'll try and get on now and then to post a picture of Noah and a quick update if there ever is one. But for most part friends and family it might be quite here. I didn't want to leave you all hanging and wondering where we are or what's up but let face it, we really just do the same thing everyday... try to tidy up the place, diapers, make meals, go to exercise classes, go to the park, and tom goes to work..... every day is pretty much the same.
bye for now.
bye for now.

Our trip
we are back from our trip to Florida and we had a pretty good time. It went by fast but than I am also glad to be back home too. Noah's pretty fussy today and it was expected, he travels well but it seem to also take a toll on him. I am hoping by the weekend that he gets back into his routine.
Here are a few pictures taken at south beach in Miami and at our friends pool. Noah loved the water so much that he actually would start to cry when we would take him out of it. He's going to be a little fish, that is for sure.

I know it's been a while.....
Things have just seem busy lately and I just haven't had much time to write. Not that there is a whole lot going on with us....But around us there seem to be a lot.
Well for us, we had grampie Flynn down for a week over Easter and it was a great visit. Noah and grampie played every morning giving me a bit of a break to catch up on some email and most importantly have a long shower in the morning instead of literal my 4 min shower where I jump in wash and jump out so fast I can't remember if I used shampoo or body wash on my hair. I think grampie got more exercise with us than he's had when tom was little considering I was always told that he drove to the school to see a soccer game ( they lived right across the street from the school literally). We took him on a hike at big sur to see a huge water fall, hahaha I think someone for got to turn on the faucet that day, there was just a trickle. Than an afternoon in china town in San Francisco and more walk to the park or a mall etc. You did great grampie. :)
This week we are heading to Florida to visit one of our friends who use to live in Mountain View too for a week, but moved back to Florida last yr. Not sure what is all planned but it should be a good time. I am just hoping Noah does well on this trip.
Well news around us is we'll have a new nephew soon, and Noah will have his 10th cousin. Sarah and Trevor are eagerly awaiting their second child who is 4 days late now, I am thinking it's going to be an April Fools baby!!!! We are really happy for you guys.
As well as Tom's cousin Jenn and her Husband Keith found out they are pregnant with twins this month which is exciting news but are having complication with the twins. They have been diagnosed with TTTS, which is pretty serious since she is 19 wks I think. So we are praying for them, that their twins girls will pull through this okay and that Emily will have two new sister to play with. We are really think of you guys every day.
I all so have many friends that are pregnant and due soon and others that are getting married. It almost seem so crazy how many ppl are having babies and wedding but I guess that is what happen at our age!!!
Well that is pretty much all that is going on here with us. Hope eveyone else is doing well.

9 months old!!!
Our little man is now 9 months old. Time is going too fast and it's crazy that he's been with us the same amount of time he grew in my belly. We love you little guy.

Here's a video of Noah sliding, it doesn't really show how well he can do it because he was tired and there was a huge puddle of water at the bottom of the slide so we couldn't let him slide down to the end, but he loves to slide.

Giggles
Noah kept laughing b/c the pop links were so long that they would break and fall and hit the floor, and it didn't hit his head hard as you see he laughed so don't worry.

So excited
Well it's been a while and not much has change in our lives to really write about. Noah growing of course and is crawling, pulling himself into a standing position, and is never quite for a moment (might need to invest in some ear plugs....especially when I know what he is saying) but it's cute.
Anyhow back to what I am excited about.... I got two new cook books in the mail and I can't wait to start using them(yes, I am a geek, I get excited over cookbooks). Well the two I got....well the title says it all.
1. The Sneaky Chef by Missy Chase Lapine (simple strategies for hiding healthy foods in kids' favorite meals)
2. Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld (simple secrets to get your kids eating good food)
There was one for husbands too but well Tom eats everything so I didn't bother. I already do things to make my cooking/baking healthier like instead of using oil or margerine or butter I use applesauce in my backing when I can and cut out at least a half cup of flour out and use wheat germ. So these books are going to be great. My sister already told me about two recipes where you put chick peas in cookies and spinach in another chocolate cookie. I can't wait to get started I think I might start today.

At the beach
We went to San Francisco on the weekend and went to Ocean beach. It was quite cold and the wind was really blowing so we took Noah out of the stroller and put him against tom's chest and zip up his jacket over him, it was really cute. We walked up towards a restaurant called Cliff House which is a historical building and has been rebuilt 4 times http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sutro_Baths. I must say the one that stands today is not impressive as the ones that stood there before, also besides the cliff house is the historic ruins of the Sutro Baths http://www.alamedainfo.com/postcards_of_san_francisco_3.htm. I wish I lived back in time when these building were there.

Noah is now 7 months old
Our 7 months little man has sure grown from the little man we brought home from the hospital, it's so heart breaking at times...where does the time go???? Noah is now sleeping in his new crib that we got last Saturday and seem to be doing fine so far, and he is putting himself down for his naps and at bed time which is great news. He's getting closer and closer "to watch out mom and dad I am mobile", not sure if I am excited about this development when it comes. Noah has eaten peas too (he's not to sure about this eating peas business...Uncle Dan better have not talk to him about vegetables!!!!) and is going to go on to carrots today or tomorrow. Noah almost back to his normal sleeping routine too which I am happy about. We stopped the rice and mixed cereal in the afternoons and night and only do barley whichf has seem to help(better watch out for the sweet potato's and bananas too.)
Well not much else is going on with us. I have all the suit case put away and the Christmas tree is finally down. Now it just tidying up and making more baby food..

It's a new year and a fresh start
Well it's hard to believe that it's 2008, where has the time gone. Well out with old 2007 and in with the new 2008. What will it bring to this Flynn family I surely don't know. But we have many dreams for this year, I just hope I can be patient enough for them to happen.
We had a busy but great time at home. We had lots of good food and probably too much of it(so I won't be baking for a while hahaha)., and lots of great company. Noah was loved by everyone and I wonder if Tom and I would have even been missed if we were there. That's right Noah was the star of the show( the way it should be). It was great fun watching all 9 of Noah's cousins interact with him. Something I will greatly miss watching. We are back home in California and even though we are sad to say good bye to all our family and friends, it sure feels great to be back home. It's something about sleeping in your own bed and room at night, and not living out of a suit case that makes home feel so good. Well it was good to see everyone that we got to see and sorry for the ones we didn't. So many snow days just took it's toll on our plans.
It was great to have snow for the holiday though and get pictures of Noah in the snow. But I don't miss driving in it and we were really happy that it wasn't that cold when we were home. Noah was a great baby on the flight home, the whole crew on the flight said he was the best baby they ever had on the plane, and other passengers that walk by right before landing in San Fran to use the bathroom said they didn't even know there was a baby on the flight. Some of you must think "oh he must have slept the whole way" and well nope, that wasn't the case at all. The little man didn't fall asleep until the wheels touch the ground in San Franc(he had one 40min nap in the airport waiting for our second flight) only to wake up when we put him into the car, little stinker. The whole flight Noah bounced on my lap and flirted with the passengers and the crew on the flight. We are so proud of him.
Well Noah is getting up on his hands and knees more and rocking a little but does a lot of head bobbing, which is funny to watch, I'll try and get it on camera for those who don't know what I mean. Noah is almost back to sleeping well, thank goodness. He went down at 9pm last night and got up at 10 for some food and sleep till 1am and than woke up at 7am. I think he also likes his own room and bed too. Noah loves all his toys that he got from family. He is sleeping with his glow worm, knocks down his building block and plays with his musical dog(well hits it to make sounds). Mom and dad finally went out and bought him a gift too yesterday. It's a big dinosaur that makes some sounds and lights up when you put balls into his back and come out different doorways, and last but not least we order a jolly jumper for him too. With those few toys now we don't have a living room anymore.
