Don't know what to think anymore
Today I found out that our friends Cherie and Andrew back in Ottawa gave birth to a health happy baby boy on Dec 2nd and are finally home hopefully with no more hospital trips b/c of jaundice etc. Congrats guys. Can't wait to see pictures of you little man, Lucas.
Now the very disturbing and bad new is my friend from my exercise class and who also lives right behind us found out on Thursday that their baby had 3 server heart defects and also a chromosome abnormality and wouldn't survive once she was born. They were five months pregnant and had to go to the hospital this weekend to be induce. They named her Elsa and she was born yesterday evening and my friend said she was beautiful-doll like. I don't really know all the details but was talking to her while she was in the hospital. My heart is breaking for her and their family. It just not fair that things like this happen to precious little angles that are so pure and innocent and never giving a chance. They have a long ways to go emotional and physical but she knows that we are here for her and her family.
Don't feel like writing any more, it's been hard having to see many ppl we are linked to in some way go through things like this. Really makes you think sometimes of how unfair the world can be.

Ugh yes I am going to complain
Well I started a blog last week for the long weekend but it didn't get finish like most of my blogs now a days, they just sit in the drafts and wait for me to either finish them or they just sit there. Anyhow it's another weekend and that's another weekend of being pregnant. I don't feel well, I am sore, it's hard to keep up with Noah b/c he wants me to chase him on the floor and it's just hard getting up and down, plus I been so nauseated lately and it just plan old sucks. I know I am not going to go into labour early that was just too much to ask but I do know that on Dec 24th I will be 42wks if I haven't deliver by than and will be induced b/c they won't let you go over that. So here is hoping that the baby comes before for Christmas eve, I really don't want to spend Christmas in the hospital.
The plan today is to do a lot of walking and try to finish up cleaning the apartment, finish my Christmas chocolates, Do some massage paper work that needs to be done for my license back in Ottawa, try and pick a name for the baby(nothing like last min eh?) Oh and finish up Christmas cards. ugh so much to do and so hard when I just want to lay down and rest. Oh well I have learned that being a mom there is no rest.
Well I hope you all have a good weekend, this better be the last weekend I am pregnant!!!!

Counting down the days
We just finished the last bit of staining on Noah and #2 new dresser thank goodness. it's not perfect but done. Now we just have to let it dry and get 3 coats of clear coat on it. It really needs to be done next weekend. So I guess I have more work to do this week and just hoping the rain holds off so I can get it done. AS well I am breaking my no Christmas decoration before Dec 1st. I think it's for the best that we get it up next weekend while Tom is home, and before the baby.

Another great Mom's night out

A great day off
I had a great surprise from my friends the other day. I knew they were taking me out on sunday and I just figure it was for lunch and well it was for lunch but also to my surprise they also took me to get a pedicure(I never had one before), where we all sat down and got one together. I felt really special, I can't remember when I have been treated by others besides tom like that. The pedicure was nice but the scrubbing was had to handle at times on the bottom of my feet where I am ticklish but it gave Kim and Kerry a good laugh at me trying not to jump around. I must admit that it was one of my best days I have had in a very very long time. Tom was happy too b/c Noah slept the whole time I was gone haha, luck man he is, plus he was happy that I had a good time out.

True meaning of Christmas
True Meaning of Christmas
Just a week before Christmas I had a visitor. This is how it happened. I just finished the household chores for the night and was preparing to go to bed, when I heard a noise in the front of the house. I opened the door to the front room and to my surprise, Santa himself stepped out next to the fireplace.
"What are you doing?" I started to ask. The words choked up in my throat and I saw he had tears in his eyes. His usual jolly manner was gone. Gone was the eager, boisterous soul we all know. He then answered me with a simple statement . . .
"TEACH THE CHILDREN!" I was puzzled. What did he mean? He anticipated my question and with one quick movement brought forth a miniature toy bag from behind the tree. As I stood bewildered, Santa said, "Teach the children!
Teach them the old meaning of Christmas. The meaning that now-a-days Christmas has forgotten. "Santa then reached in his bag and pulled out a FIR TREE and placed it before the mantle. "Teach the children that the pure green color of the stately fir tree remains green all year round, depicting the everlasting hope of mankind, all the needles point heavenward, making it a symbol of man's thoughts turning toward heaven."
He again reached into his bag and pulled out a brilliant STAR. "Teach the children that the star was the heavenly sign of promises long ago. God promised a Savior for the world, and the star was the sign of fulfillment of His promise."
He then reached into his bag and pulled out a CANDLE. "Teach the children that the candle symbolizes that Christ is the light of the world, and when we see this great light we are reminded of He who displaces the darkness."
Once again he reached into his bag and removed a WREATH and placed it on the tree. "Teach the children that the wreath symbolizes the real nature of love. Real love never ceases. Love is one continuous round of affection."
He then pulled from his bag an ORNAMENT of himself. "Teach the children that I, Santa Claus, symbolize the generosity and good will we feel during the month of December."
He then brought out a HOLLY LEAF. "Teach the children that the holly plant represents immortality. It represents the crown of thorns worn by our Savior. The red holly berries represent the blood shed by Him.
Next he pulled from his bag a GIFT and said, "Teach the children that God so loved the world that he gave his begotten son." Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.
Santa then reached in his bag and pulled out a CANDY CANE and hung it on the tree. "Teach the children that the candy cane represents the shepherds' crook. The crook on the staff helps to bring back strayed sheep to the flock. The candy cane is the symbol that we are our brother's keeper."
He reached in again and pulled out an ANGEL. "Teach the children that it was the angels that heralded in the glorious news of the Savior's birth. The angels sang Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace and good will toward men."
Suddenly I heard a soft twinkling sound, and from his bag he pulled out a BELL,. "Teach the children that as the lost sheep are found by the sound of the bell, it should ring mankind to the fold. The bell symbolizes guidance and return.
Santa looked back and was pleased. He looked back at me and I saw that the twinkle was back in his eyes. He said, "Remember, teach the children the true meaning of Christmas and do not put me in the center, for I am but a humble servant of the One that is, and I bow down to worship him, our LORD, our GOD."

Also I still haven't decided if I will cook a small dinner for just Tom and I for Thanksgiving here or have a few ppl over like last yr. I love having ppl over and cooking for ppl but it's also stress full and a lot of work. I guess we'll see. I am starting to like having thanksgiving in November though, it seem to break up the holidays better, October is Halloween(not really a holiday but fun all the same), November is Thanksgiving which is huge down here and a 4 day weekend, and then the best of all it's December and Christmas(even though it not the same with out snow) I love the decorations and the lights and just the spirit of Christmas. I feel warm and loved during Christmas and this yr not stressed at all. I love just staying home for Holidays, it feels so nice to be home in our own place even though we'll miss family but it just nice to be home. I think I am going to start my Christmas chocolates now though b/c I don't think I'll get them done other wise, not sure if I will get everyone done or just do a big batch for everyone to share. As well I am going to make some Pumpkin bread today if Noah stays down(his mouth is all swollen from all the teeth trying to come in, it's sad and hard on mom b/c she doesn't have her happy boy).
I think that is enough rambling for today. Oh and Tom and I asked Santa this yr to find us a long lost rich relative that wants to give us money or a house!!! it could happen right LOL.

So....
Two of Noah's molars are almost completely through which I will be happy about. He's doing okay but more cuddly in a sad way and not sleeping well and we had a fever for two days....ugh makes for a sad boy and a sad mom. I will be happy when it's not bugging him and he goes back to eating and sleeping well. Noah talking so much these days. He will say up please when he wants you to stand up and than he will take your seat, points to the moon and can say moon. Love and can say Elmo(we have an Elmo vest and hat and mits), calls Bella (Bellbell). showers us with kissing and blowing kiss all day. He points to my belly and say baby and gives it a kiss too. There is so much this little man do I could write a book, he just surprise us all the time.
Only other news is Tom and I finally got out for a dinner date for the first time well since Noah was born. We did get to a movie back in july2007 when Tom's mom was here but besides that Noah has been with us all the time. My friend took Noah for 2.5hours so that Tom and I could go out to dinner just the two of us. I have to say it was great and so nice just to spend sometime with Tom. I really miss our alone time sometimes but I wouldn't trade Noah for it. We went to a nice restaurant that we have gone to before we were parents and had I nice meal and it was nice to eat a hot meal too. Normally my meal is cold by the time I get Noah finished etc. I know how mom felt now with all of us at home. Anyhow since it was pouring out after dinner we couldn't do anything else so we went grocery shopping which was a treat as well without Noah. It's so hard to get shopping done with toddlers. Well hopefully we'll get out again one day before Noah turns 3.
Well Noah is napping and I think I will try too or work on #2 Christmas stocking. Still hoping I can get it done but we'll see.

funny story
OKay so the funny thing is, in our apartment complex which is made up of either one or two story buildings. We live in a one story building that only has four apartment connected and we live in one of the middle apt of the four. Now let say we live in apartment 2, well we knew that the couple that lives in apt 4 is except and due in December with their first and it's a boy and a few days ago we walked out of our front door and ran in to our neighbours who's door is right beside ours and lives in apartment 3. We don't see them often which is surprising and appear not to be home a whole lot which explains why we don't see them that much. Anyhow as we ran into them when we were coming out, wouldn't you know it she is expecting too and in the month of December with their first and it's a boy as well haha.. I had to laugh b/c I said to tom "man are the building around ours, going to love our building because out of 4 apartments 3 of us are excepting all in the same month". The buildings here aren't insulated and don't have double pain windows so you can pretty much hear everything inside and outside. We laugh at it all and I just felt like share it with you all.
Just counting down
Noah had fun on Friday night I didn't think he would like wearing his costume but he loved it and he loved trick or treating, which I didn't think he would care. He only went to one house(we were walking by on the way to his friends house when a man came out and said oh are you starting all ready can I give him something). Well Noah thought it was the greatest thing and took the candy with a big smile and started running down the street. We went to Wesley house and they played with the candy dish at Wesley's and was handing out candy to Tom, Wesley parents and me.
As for me I think I can only get to my exercise class a few more times. It's getting tough just to move and keep up with Noah and just walking to the park and back has me exhausted and out of commetion for the rest of the day. I am really counting down the days now wednesday I will be 35 wks on the dot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So five more to go but lets hope for 3ish okay, I am doing lots of stuff I did when I was pregnant with Noah b/c I really do believe they help out with him coming on time and also helping me with labour. Only one thing I haven't kept up well is my yoga which sucks but the class got canceled and well after exercise or the park in the morning I am just to tired, but where I don't see me making it to my exercise classes much more I am hoping to do my yoga dvd for the remainder of the pregnancy. It's funny how either it just this pregnancy or symptom with the second pregnancy do come soon that with your first which is also having me hope that I will go early. It's November I am I am loving this journey coming to an end only to start a new one. I must say I am strongly looking forward to Christmas here in our small little place and to the New Year. I am hoping we find a bigger place here in the spring and what would even be nicer if we found a long lost relative who was rich and wanted to give us some money so that we could buy a house"ONE CAN DREAM RIGHT"... tom and I dream of this often hahah. Anyhow that is pretty much the update on things here. I don't have a doctor appt till the 17th when I'll be 2 days away from being 37wks. I guess they couldn't get me in closer to my 36wk appt, Oh well. I should than have a 38wk, 39wk and hopefully that is it and here is baby. As well No we still don't have a name so don't ask, we might jsut call the baby #2. I am sure we'll find a name but it might be a few days after birth too. One day this child will have a name, but you'll all just have to wait.

Weekend is booked solid!!
Saturday we are going to the Bridge School Concert Event here in town which we are excited for. Not sure who all we'll get to hear b/c we bought the tickets for the wrong day by mistake and Saturdays concert starts at 5pm and not 2pm like on Sunday oops. Anyhow Hopefully we'll get to see :Jack Johnson, Death Cab for Cutie, Norah Jones don't really care or no the others. Sad things we miss, Josh Groban, and Smashing Pumpkins where they only play on Sunday. Anyhow we got the lawn seats where you brink a blanket and sit in the grass just like we did for July4th. It should be good times and if all goes well we'll make it till 9pm before walking home.
Sunday depending on how Noah will be doing we are going to head out to the beach and stop either on the way there or on the way back at one of the pumpkin patches to pick out our pumpkins and than Carve later on this week. I already know what I am carve for my and Noah's pumpkins, I can't wait.
Besides that I finally got to my exercise class again, since I have only been there twice in a month with all the travels I haven't been around. I must say if feel great that I can still kick all the non pregnant mom's butt in the workouts at 33 wks pregnant. I actually won the push up contest, not sure how many I did. I know it was over twenty because that is when I stopped counting and just kept going till she said stop, two of us tied out of 15 mom's. I got a window shade for the car that says my mom can do more push ups than your mom, pretty funny but so true haha. Anyhow I now have no energy at all after the workout, so I am going to hope here Noah falls asleep and I will put in probably a Christmas movie since I already watch the Charlie Brown's Halloween one yesterday and do some cross stitch. I am still hoping I can finish the baby's stocking before Christmas.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

I am hoping to out here on Saturday to the pumpkin patch and get our Pumpkins and than carve them. Not sure what we'll make this yr I guess I better start looking at pictures. Well should go...suppose to rest but when is there time to lots to do lots to do.

The Big Question
ARE AND WHEN ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO MOVE BACK TO CANADA??????
The answer to this is simple, it's yes we are moving back home but the when part is undecided. We just go year by year to tell you the truth. We know we don't want to live in the USA forever , but when is it time we haven't decided. Lots of things come into play with the decision of moving back home:
1. Save money so we can get a house
2. Paying off debts
3.Having tom happy with his job
4.Would love to move to a different country for a bit before going back to Canada
Next part of the question is when moving back home, where???
We both love the Maritimes and would love to live somewhere there but when looking at it today, it's just not promising to us. Let's face it High Tech world is just really not there....it has come a long way but it's still not there. Tom needs a job he'll be happy with and that is important to both of us, especially since I don't work. I strongly feel that since he is the one with the career he needs to be happy with what he is doing...I would never want to settle for something I am not happy with doing, so why should he. For us if you are't happy at work it makes it hard to be happy at home and enjoy life... Happiness in all parts of our life that is very important to us!!! So we'll go where he finds something he likes. Saying this we really see ourselves going back to Ottawa or maybe out West but who knows really because we don't. I know when it comes to deciding somethings will come into play in helpping us decide:
1. The most important no long communtes(anything over 20min) for Tom.
I don't see the joy of commutes and it makes me worry. I don't want Tom on the road for hours of the day when he could be home with us...Communting to me seem like a waste of life....So we'll live close to his work, our family time is very important to us. As well in winter there is snow on the roads and as well back home there is more animals too than down here. So I guess this is the big deciding factor.
2.Finding a house close to Tom's work.
Would love to have ours built for us, I already have a house plan I like, but we'll see on that.
3. Finding a good school close for the children so they don't have to be on a bus at all or a long time.
4. Has to have stuff to do in the town or city.
This is important to us not only for us but for the kids. We don't want to have to drive forever to go out for dinner or to a childrens event etc... We want a community where we can just go out and do somethings as family, if that is a movie, mini golf, a sport event etc.
That is just a few things but I know there is more. Anyhow we will move back to Canada one day but where and when is undecided, but it will happen and we know it will.

What a worldwind
Well I made it to Adam and Laura's wedding. It was a very beautiful day and they were a very beautiful couple I have to say. I can't even express how happy I am for them and how happy I made it. It was nice to see a few old friends too for a very short time since I didn't get to talk much where Noah was running none stop and didn't want me to stop and talk to anyone. Maybe one day I'll get back home and have some friend time with friends but I doubt it, our trips home are so busy and always feel rushed...but one can hope.
It was nice to see some family and friends even though I didn't get to see all of our families or friends. I have to say even though it was a good trip it was a very hard trip too. I was on the road every day that I was home except for the day before I flew back home and by than I don't think there was one part of my body that didn't hurt etc. I don't think I will fly by myself with children again but I should know better and know not to say never, I really hope though that I never do. Noah had one rough flight out of three on the way up and was the best little boy on the way back. I got so many compliments of him on the way home on how good he was and we had a lot of nice ppl helping me on and off the plane however none where airplane or airport employees haha.
I wish I could say I have pictures to post but I hardly ever took a photo as sad as that was. I was so tired that I just looked after Noah and if he was a sleep I tried to rest some, not that he got many naps b/c we were pretty much on the go. For what Tom and I put him through I must say his is the best boy around. Well I am exhausted and very sore and now Noah is napping thankfully, and I should lay down or clean some.

Happy Belated Anniversary Honey!!!
Well I made it home with Noah, and I must say I am never flying by myself with a child. It could have been worst but I am physically paying for it today. I can hardly move and having a really hard time lifting and carrying Noah as well as just rolling over in bed. Noah had one bad hour on our second flight out of three. Not sure why but he ended up puking all over me and him. Good think all our clothes were carry ons and I didn't check any baggage. I must say I ran in to a lot of nice people that try to help me out in the airport and on the play, however on one work for the airport and the rest were passengers. I had one lady bend down and tie my shoe(I had three bags and Noah in a front carry), one lady carried my little suit case and a few men carried the car seat for me. On the plane I had one man try to entertain Noah with is Iphone(the flight he puked on me). There are other and I am grateful for all their help and the funny thing is I wonder what they would have thought if they new I was 31wks pregnant and doing this. Noah was on my front facing me so they couldn't really tell when I was carrying him. Anyhow I was surprise at the friendliness of the people I met.
Well I am tired we didn't get to sleep till 3 am and than up at 8:30am, Noah got an extra hour and is now down for a nap thank goodness. Here is hoping I get rested and in time for my flight back.

coming home
So now that I am stressed out and excited, I am just praying this little one doesn't come early let alone on the plane b/c if I go into labour they won't have time to land the plane, Noah's labour was from the first sign of labour to finish 5 hours yes you hear that right, it was a very fast labour with almost No doctor to deliver him, we are already nervous about making it to the hospital in time, when home here.
Well that is it for now, I got soo much to do where I haven't even been home for a week yet from our vacation and I am trying to catch up on everything else when we were away. Oh my goodness I think I have lost my mind.

It's finally October!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So it's sad we are back in California and Tom is back to work...and will most likely work the weekend...ugh. There's no nice clear beach and relaxing time here.... I so want to go back to Maui right now, we could have a Hawaiian baby common. Our trip was awesome and just what we needed...time away from everything. No set plans, no schedule...just nothing. We would wake up have breakfast and head to the beach, than based on how Noah was doing it was nap time or a drive after lunch. We did do two small things in Maui, we took Noah to the Maui's Ocean Aquarium which I love and than drove to Lahaina to eat at Cheese Burger Paradise which sort of was a disappointment to be truthful. I am sure the burgers were good but nothing really out of the ordinary and my chicken sandwich burger was okay but they didn't have a Keiki menu(that children in Hawaiian) which was really weird I had to say since it like a family restaurant. Anyhow we had fun walking through the town and Noah got to chase the birds and have a bit of ice cream too.
Not a lot to tell since most of our time was on the beach digging holes for Noah to climb into and sit which was is favorite thing to do, and was hard on us b/c he didn't want to wait for the hole to be dug. We would scoop one shovel of sand out and he would already be trying to sit in it, it was pretty funny b/c we would have to dig around him and under him, than distract him with a sandcastle which he would have to leave the little or big hole and smash it down and than return to the hole. Noah also loved the water and the waves, he got slashed many many times in the face with the waves. AS well surprisingly right on the beach Tom spotted a sea turtle in the water really close in and ran into the water and fallow it. Me and Noah just saw the shadow of it b/c we didn't realize what tom was doing, we even missed it's head coming up for air.
Well I think that is it fro our trip, I'll try and get some photo's up but right now I got to run and get some stuff down around the house and try to adjust to the 3 hour time difference. I really hate fly east and adjusting to the time, loosing time is so hard. I can fly west and be find but east just kills all of us.
